ABOUT POWER 3
Power Level 3 is the culmination of TPI’s nearly two-decade research into increasing distance with golfers. It is unlike any other course offered at TPI or in the industry. This Certification course is a unique, three-day distance lab hosted at TPI headquarters that will establish you as one of the premier power coaches in the world.
TPI Co-Founders Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillip along with World Long Drive Champions Jason Zuback and Justin James will show you exactly how to access your athlete’s power and what you can do through technology, the gym, and swing mechanics to allow your clients to hit the ball further than they ever have previously.

Kinetics:
Golf, fitness and medical professionals don’t need to be physicists to work with golfers, but they should have a thorough understanding of the key kinetic variables, specifically the ground reaction forces that underpin power generation in the golf swing.
Force Plate Data Analysis:
In Level 1, we introduced the kinematic sequence. In Power Level 3, you’ll learn the kinetic sequence. Leaning on one of the largest collections of force plate data in golf, Dr. Rose will share how the best - and most powerful - golfers in the world push against the ground to generate speed. Learn how to evaluate force and torque patterns and what they mean with regards to swing mechanics and clubhead speed.
Power Assessment:
Utilizing the TPI power screen, you’ll learn the key principles related to power production in the golf swing and how to identify if a golfer is limited by their mechanics, equipment or raw physical capabilities.
Training for Power:
Head to the gym to learn how the most powerful golfers in the world train. World Long Drive Champ Justin James demonstrates how he prepares his body to perform, from bespoke warmup protocols to unique exercise variations and techniques.
Patterning for Power:
World Long Drive Champ Jason Zuback demonstrates movement patterns that can be practiced in the gym which can help golfers emulate the ground interaction and kinetic sequence of the best golfers in the world.
Practicing Power:
Once a golfer has increased their physical capacity, they must learn how to apply it to the golf swing. Dr. Rose outlines how he helps golfers practice speed-friendly mechanics and organizes practice to encourage intent and avoid fatigue.

Who is Power 3 for and are there any prerequisites?
Anybody who is TPI Power 2 Certified can purchase TPI Power 3 and will receive TPI Power 3 Certification as a Major once they pass their Power 3 Certification test.
Majors and Minors appear in TPI’s Find an Expert map under each member’s profile and help website visitors quickly determine a TPI Certified members’s qualifications.
